At the Central Connecticut Plein Air Guild’s October paint-out in Collinsville, I wandered for nearly an hour before a path led me across the Farmington River to this quieter spot. Branches reached into the still water, golden leaves carpeted the far bank, and more leaves floated on the surface, extending the shoreline. While much of the day was fiery orange and red, my view held the greens and yellows of a season still in transition.
