CCPG is a friendly group of painters who meet once a month to paint outdoors somewhere new around central Connecticut. We explore harbors, parks, farms and back roads, and we rarely paint the same place twice.
Beginners are genuinely welcome, and so is anyone who wants to sketch, work in watercolor, or just come along and watch.

How a paint-out works
Gather
We meet for about ten minutes, look at where the light is going, and agree on where to regroup.
Paint
Everyone spreads out and paints on their own, at their own pace. There’s no instruction and no critique.
Regroup
At the end we come back to the cars and set the wet panels out for twenty minutes. It’s the best part of the day.
Weather: rain cancels, drizzle doesn’t. Members get a go or no-go message that day.
